Accelerating Payments with Consumer–Merchant Credential Sharing

Offering customers more credit card choices at checkout reduces friction and payment failures, driving higher conversion rates, increased order completion, and greater customer lifetime value.

Drive a 5% improvement in credential coverage during H1 through targeted initiatives that expand payment data capture, enhance reuse at checkout, and accelerate overall revenue growth.

User Research

  • Understand the online shopping behaviors of users who have paid for advertising/boosting, and their barriers to saving credentials as consumers
    forward for ads credential portability

  • ​Test and evaluate two flow variants on the consumer-facing side, together with several content variations to allow for an optimized experience and drive adoption.

  • Provide user-centered recommendations on the path forward for ads credential portability

Things I did: 

  • Drove cross-functional alignment to launch cross-platform credential sharing, giving users access to their preferred payment methods and simplifying ad-driven purchases on Facebook.

  • Delivered a 6.3% lift in credential sharing (goal: 5%), growing coverage 31% → 37.3%.

  • More ad-driven purchases increase ROI, creating headroom for higher ad pricing.
